The Hanns Seidel Foundation also provides support in the following areas:

The Hanns Seidel Foundation sponsors information and study visits from the Philippines to Germany as part of its program on international cooperation.

For the past years we have sent about 193 individual and group delegates, including high-ranking Philippine government officials.

Members of the cooperative sector have also participated in this program which includes visits to selected successful cooperatives in Bavaria. (See also Cooperative and Community Development.)

The latest study visit to be sponsored by the Hanns Seidel Foundation was in October 2001; the delegation visited several cooperative institutions and organizations around Bavaria and in Bonn.

The Foundation also supports international and local conferences, seminars, roundtable discussions and meeting of experts on major topics related to security, economic and foreign affairs. Prominent Philippine government officials have been constant participants in these activities. (See also the ASEAN-EU Program)

The Foundation provides study grants to young professionals who have expressed interest to pursue further (average of 2 years) studies in Germany related to the Foundation's project activities in the country. The Association of Hanns Seidel Foundation Scholars of the Philippines has been organized as the alumni group of HSF Philippines.
