Programs:  Support for follow-up activities in the fields of co-operative systems and ASEAN-EU cooperation

Co-operative Systems Development, a continuing education program for leaders and management staff as well as for trainers/educators of co-operative organizations towards the development of the rural areas, in cooperation with the National Cooperative Movement (NCM). The program has given support to the development of vital co-operative systems such as the Co-operative Deposit Insurance System (CODIS) which led to the organization of the CODIS Federation of Cooperatives and towards a co-operative centralized financial system through the establishment of the NCM Cooperative Mutual Fund of the Philippines, Inc. (NCMFI), which are currently being worked on for full implementation in 2009. Funding assistance has been committed to support follow-up activities in the area of co-operative good governance.

ASEAN-EU cooperation, a forum for discussion of relevant issues related to economic and political cooperation and integration, environmental management, as well as trade and investment within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and between ASEAN and the European Union (EU).
